Always follow your surgeons directions regarding returning to your normal activities. Once you are healed, Sun Salutations are beneficial to maintain strength and mobility. Start slowly, use props and modify your movement as you get used to your new hip.
What are good standing poses for someone with a hip replacement?
My go-to standing poses are Chair pose, Warrior I, Warrior II, and Triangle pose. But any standing pose is beneficial. Standing poses call on strength while at the same time promote mobility. Working with strength to build mobility is a safe way to work.
